What Is The Difference Between Dee Shackles Under Different Standards?

As is well known, there are different standards for Dee shackle, such as US Federal spec standard, GB standard, European standard, DIN standard, BS standard and JIS standard. They are mainly different in below four aspects:

Overview

1. Their materials have some difference.

2. The WLL of Dee shackles under different standards will vary.

3. Their specifications and dimentions is distinguishing.

4. The safety factors of Dee shackles under different standards will vary.

Most of the GB standard shackles are Q235 high-strength carbon steel. The US Federal spec standard shackle body is generally forged with 45 steel, and the transverse pin is 40Cr.

The strength of the US Federal spec standard shackle seems to be more advantageous, but the overall load of the US Federal spec standard shackle is lower than that of the GB standard shackle. In some heavy load lifting operations, the GB standard shackle is better choice.
