Acceptance test of towing winch

The acceptance test of towing winch should be carried out in the acceptance test of towing winches for deep sea use GB/T 11869-2007. If there are any class certificate requirements, it should comply with the rules or standards of the corresponding classification society. The test items include the No-load test, Workload test, Overload pull test, Holding load test, Control brake device test, Emergency stop test etc.

Overview

Before the buyer's acceptance, the following factory tests should be conducted.

Note: ① If agreed by the manufacturer and the buyer, these tests can be conducted at the manufacturer or on board the ship.

② Pay attention to the requirements of relevant national authorities or classification societies.

1. Drum brake support test

When the torque on the drum is equal to the specified brake support torque, the drum should not rotate.

2. Load operation test

Use the drum load of the winch to continuously retract and release the steel wire rope for 15 minutes.

During the experiment, the following checks should be carried out:

a. Measure the actual speed;

b. Bearing temperature;

c. Power consumption;

d. The working condition of the controller;

e. Noise;

f. The working condition of the rope arrangement device (if set).

3. Control device experiment

The operation of control devices, automatic braking devices, and measuring instruments (if set) should be checked.

4. Emergency control experiment

When the towing cable is on both sides and at the rear, and the brake is fully applied, an emergency release test achieved by towing force should be conducted from all positions that can be used for emergency release. When the winch is retracting and releasing the rope, an emergency release test should also be conducted.
