Marine Magnesium Anode

Magnesium anode, also known as magnesium sacrificial anode, is a metal material widely used in the field of cathodic protection. Its main function is to act as an anode, forming an electrochemical corrosion battery with the protected metal structure (cathode), and slowing down or preventing the corrosion of the cathode (i.e., the protected structure) through the dissolution of the anode. Magnesium anode is widely used in many fields such as marine engineering, harbour terminals and so on because of its high potential, high electric capacity and good electrochemical properties.

The advantages of magnesium alloy sacrificial anode include good anticorrosion effect, simple construction, low maintenance cost and environmental protection.
