High Potential Magnesium Soil Anode
High potential magnesium sacrificial anode has a large driving voltage on steel, and is widely used in soil or fresh water with high resistivity. Its market share is much higher than that of ordinary magnesium anode, and it has become the leading product in magnesium anode.
Overview
External Dimension and Weight
The external dimension and weight of high potential magnesium anode are the most basic indexes in its specification parameters. Usually, its length is between 1-20 metres and its diameter is between 30-120 mm. Of course, the specific size and weight also depend on the actual use. It should be noted that smaller diameters can provide higher potentials, but will also affect the service life.
Chemical Composition
The main component of high potential magnesium anode is magnesium with high purity, and its chemical composition needs to meet the following standards:
1. The purity of magnesium should be greater than 99.95%;
2. The iron content of magnesium is not more than 0.003%;
3. The manganese content of magnesium should not exceed 0.0015%;
4. The copper content of magnesium does not exceed 0.0007%.
Electrochemical Performance
High potential magnesium anode must have better electrochemical performance to ensure its application effect in the field of anticorrosion. Specifically, it should have the following properties:
1. Open circuit potential (OCP) should be in the range of -1.7V~-1.8V;
2. Operating potential (E) should be in the range of -1.5V to -1.6V;
3. Polarisation resistance (Rp) should be less than 0.6Ω-m^2.
