Marine ICCP & MGPS

The applied of impressured current cathodic protection system (ICCP) is used to protect the underwater parts of offshore steel structures from seawater corrosion. Its working principle is to provide DC current through potentiostatic meter. The positive electrode of the power supply is connected to the auxiliary anode, and the negative electrode is connected to the steel structure. The protected steel structure is always maintained at the optimal protection potential against seawater corrosion. It is mainly used to prevent the hull from being corroded and oxidized by sea water.

The working principle of the marine growth prevention system is not to kill Marine organisms by forming current through electrodes, but to inhibit the growth of Marine organisms in the hull and seawater pipe system through the electrolysis of copper anode in seawater to produce trace copper ions, or to kill Marine organisms larvae by electrolysis of aluminum anode in seawater to produce a small amount of aluminum hydroxide flocculent. At the same time, the aluminum hydroxide floccose attached to the inner wall of the seawater pipe system forms a very thin protective layer, which can prevent the corrosion of the seawater to the pipe system. It is mainly used to prevent Marine organisms from blocking seawater pipelines and affecting the flow of seawater.
