Wide Body Shackle US Type

The Wide Body Shackle US Type is a premium rigging component designed for demanding lifting and rigging operations. Characterized by its expanded bow radius, this shackle minimizes wear on wire rope, synthetic slings, and web slings while maximizing load distribution and operational safety.

Overview

Features:

Wide body shackle greatly improves the wear resistance of wire rope slings.

It can be connected with high-strength synthetic fiber slings or wire rope slings.

The shackle bow radius is increased to increase the sling load surface area by 58%, and the sling is protected by a thimble.

The effective tension of the sling is increased by 15%.

Material:

Forged alloy steel shackles range from 7 tons to 300 tons, and cast alloy steel shackles range from 400 tons to 1550 tons.

Surface treatment: body galvanized, cross pin sprayed yellow plastic.

Conforms to ASME B30.26-2004 standard.

Test:

Wide body shackles above 400 tons are tested at 1.33 times the working load.

Wide body shackles below 300 tons are tested at 2 times the working load.

The breaking load is 5 times the working limit load.
