What is Marine Scupper Plug?

Marine scupper plug is mainly used for plugging deck drainage holes. Although the Marine scupper plug is small, its role can not be ignored. In the long-term navigation process, the scupper plug not only to withstand the corrosion of seawater, but also to deal with a variety of complex sea conditions, so its design and manufacturing quality is directly related to the service life of the ship and navigation safety.

Overview

Working Principle

The Marine scupper plug is mainly used to plug the deck drainage hole. The main principle is to compress the scupper with bolts to make it expand and plug the pipe. It can seal the damage hole or spill contaminated liquid, when in use, insert the plug into the drainage hole, tighten the handle, until you feel a slight resistance, the plug is firmly clamped in place.

Main Structure

The scupper plug structure includes a sealing sleeve, a handle, a screw, and a pressure sheet affixed to both ends of the sealing sleeve. The middle of the outer side of the sealing sleeve can expand under the extrusion of the two pressure sheets and seal and fit the inner wall of the drainage pipe. The two pressure sheets are respectively provided with perforations corresponding to each other, and the top of the screw is connected with a handle. After the screw is inserted into the screw hole, it is connected with the nut through a perforation, a sealing sleeve and another perforation, and the bottom end of the nut and the screw are provided with a corresponding through hole, and the nut and the screw are fixed through the setting pin through the through hole.
