What Is A Hand Pump?

Hand pump is a portable liquid transfer tool that lifts the liquid by manually shaking the pump shaft.

Overview

Working principle

The working principle of the hand pump is to manually shake the pump shaft to drive the piston or gear in the pump body to reciprocate, so as to achieve the suction and discharge of liquid. Specifically, the hand pump usually adopts a piston or gear type structure, and the piston or gear is moved by shaking the handle to complete the delivery of liquid.

Structure

The hand pump is mainly composed of the pump body, water absorption/pressure water seat, water absorption/pressure water valve, piston, connecting rod, handle rocker and cover plate.

Application

Hand pump is suitable for pumping clean water, gasoline, kerosene and non-corrosive liquids such as iron and copper, not for liquids containing fiber or other solid particles, only 1 to 2 people shake the handle reciprocating to work, for industrial mines, enterprises, schools, vehicles, ships and other units to use.

Material

1.stainless steel: stainless steel is one of the materials commonly used in hand pump, has good anti-corrosion properties and is not easy to rust characteristics, suitable for acid and alkaline liquid transportation ‌.

2.cast iron:cast iron material has high strength and hardness, suitable for transporting heavier liquids. Cast iron hand pumps are generally used to transport oil liquids, but the weight is large and not suitable for places that need to be moved or transported ‌.

3.aluminum alloy:aluminum alloy made of hand pump light weight, and good corrosion resistance, suitable for transporting some light acid and alkaline liquids. Aluminum alloy hand pumps are affordable, but the strength and corrosion resistance are relatively low ‌.
