The different installation types of electric hoist
Electric hoists are generally installed on beams for operations through hook type or lug-mounted type, which can be directly attached or paired with a trolley on the beam.
Overview
Hook type installation and lug-mounted type installation
A hook electric hoist has a hook at the top, which can be directly hung on the beam clamp or on the hole at the bottom of the trolley on the beam. The top hook usually has a safety latch to prevent load swinging or accidental sliding.
Hook electric hoist & lug-mounted electric hoist
Lug-mounted type electric hoists are suspended by bolting their tops to walls or overhead beams. They are firmly fixed at the position where lifting is required and can also be moved to other locations for operations using a trolley.
Trolleys
Push- type trolley: The bottom of the push-type trolley has a suspension hole connected to the hoist's hook. During operation, users can manually push or pull the trolley to a specific distance, allowing the hoist to move horizontally on the beam.
Geared trolley: The geared trolley has gears and chains. During use, the operator pulls the chain to drive the gears, enabling the trolley to move horizontally on the beam. Geared trolleys offer more precise and effortless movement compared to push type trolleys.
Electric travel trolley: The electric travel trolley is equipped with an electric motor. Operators control the trolley's movement distance, direction, and speed on the beam using a controller. This process is effortless for operators and allows precise control over the trolley's movement distance.
