The difference between gooseneck type air vent head and cap type air vent head

There are many types of air vent heads that can be used for different needs, of which gooseneck type air vent heads and cap type air vent heads are the two most common types, but their structures also have many differences.

Overview

Gooseneck type air vent head:

Marine gooseneck type upside down air vent head is a new type of deck ventilation equipment, which can be easily connected with the ship deck above the bend pipe through the flange. When the vent pipe above the ship deck reaches a certain height, it will be blocked by the coiling plate around the hull. According to maritime regulations: the deck must be installed above the vent head, then we can choose to consider the installation of gooseneck type air vent head.

The gooseneck type air vent head is composed of a head, a floating ball, a filter screen, a backing plate and a mesh plate. The air vent head and the vent are also connected by a flange, the float is made of flame retardant glass steel, usually the float is always located in the middle of the head, the trachea is unimpeded, when the sea water enters the air vent head, the float is lifted and the air vent head is closed. The function and installation requirements of the filter screen are the same for all kinds of air vent heads.

Cap type air vent head:

The cap type air vent head is a common type of air vent head. The cap type air vent head is composed of a cover, a screw, a body and a filter screen (fire screen). Screws are used between it and the body to make it relatively fixed. The connection between the air vent head and the pipe is flange connection. The filter screen is braided by brass wire with fast heat dissipation, which can prevent Mars from splashing into the pipe and causing fire, and when it is installed on the air vent of the water tank, the filter screen can be loaded. The air vent head is generally installed on both sides of the superstructure where the sea water is not easy to splash or hidden under the side bulwark.
