Stainless Steel Bottom Plug

Stainless Steel Bottom Plug

Stainless steel bottom plugs are used on the bottom of ships, primarily in environments where oil and water are drained. They are usually installed in steel bilge tanks and water tanks to ensure the smooth discharge of oil and water when needed. Stainless steel bilge plugs are characterized by high hardness, corrosion resistance and non-deformability, and are suitable for a variety of harsh marine environments.

Overview

The form of Marine Bottom Drain Plug

Normally, each double bottom tank should be equipped with a bottom drain plug, for example, in the shipbuilding stage, the engine room double bottom oil tank emptying after the hydrostatic test, or the ship into the docking repair, wash the tank, in order to remove the residue and water in the tank.

According to the standard of CBT 254, there are two types of bilge release plugs, A type is without shoulder, which requires high production requirements, and B type is with shoulder, which is easy to produce. The outer ring of the drain screw plug is a ring-shaped steel grade equal to or higher than the steel grade of the ship's bottom plate seat plate, welded directly to the outer plate, the inner ring is threaded with stainless steel square or hexagonal plug.
