Socket Weld Flange
Socket weld flanges are one of the widely used welding methods for pipe connections, which are usually used in industrial applications requiring higher pressure transmission or special fluid handling. It is suitable for high-pressure and large-diameter piping systems; It can be applied to steel pipes of various materials in the fields of petrochemical, natural gas, water treatment, etc.; It also shows good performance in the harsh environments in some specific cases such as high temperature, corrosive media, etc.; For some special working conditions (e.g., vacuum environments), it is necessary to design and select the material according to the specific situation.
Overview
Installation:
First, cut and chamfer each end of the pipe to be connected to ensure that the pipe mouth is flat. Then, install the gaskets on both ends of the flange and secure the bolts and washers through the flange holes.
Next, put the flanges on each end of the pipe so that the bolts on the flanges are exactly aligned with the flange holes on the opposite side. Then, tighten the bolts one by one until the flanges seal tightly.
Finally, apply sealant to the flange and wait for it to dry to ensure a better seal. At this point, the installation of the socket flange is complete.
