Smoke Damper
Smoke damper is installed at the inlet of smoke suction, normally closed and meets the requirements of air leakage, manually and electrically opened in case of fire or need for smoke evacuation, and acts as a damper for smoke evacuation. Smoke damper can be interlocked with fire detectors, especially the interlocking of fire and smoke detectors, to open the damper for smoke evacuation by detecting the smoke in the early stage of fire, and turn into an automatic valve driven by electric motor or electromagnetic mechanism.
Overview
Application:
Smoke damper is a control device in a building fire protection system. Its main principle is to isolate smoke and flames in case of fire by closing the smoke damper to prevent smoke and flames from spreading from one area to another.
Under normal conditions, the smoke dampers are open to provide ventilation and air conditioning for the building. In the event of a fire, the smoke damper closes in response to a signal from a field detector to prevent the spread of smoke and flame.
Function:
1. Prevent the spread of smoke and flame: In case of fire, the smoke and flame can be isolated by the smoke damper, which can reduce the casualties and property losses in the building.
2. Ensure the safe evacuation of personnel: the closure of the smoke damper can control the spread of smoke and flame, providing the necessary time and space for the safe evacuation of personnel.
3. Ensure the smooth progress of fire rescue: the closure of smoke damper can isolate the smoke and flame, provide better space for firefighters to act, and speed up the efficiency of fire rescue.
