Marine Watertight Damper
Marine watertight damper refers to the damper that can make the air conditioning ducts and ventilation ducts in the watertight compartments of the ship watertight closed. It prevents water from entering the cabin and maintains the buoyancy and stability of the ship in case of water accidents or emergencies.
Overview
Working Principle:
Marine watertight damper are usually equipped with detection and sensing devices that monitor the condition of the vessel and the water level at the entrance to the hold. These devices can be manual, controlled by the crew, or automatic, controlled through the vessel's monitoring system.
In the event of an emergency, the crew can quickly close the watertight door by operating the control system to prevent water from entering the cabin. Some modern watertight damper systems may also be equipped with an emergency response device that can be triggered manually or automatically to quickly close them in case of an emergency.
