Marine Unbalanced Rudder

Marine Unbalanced Rudder

The marine rudder can be divided into the balanced rudder and the unbalanced rudder according to the axis of rudder stock. Marine unbalanced rudder is a normal rudder, whose rudder blades are all located behind the rudder stock axis, and its rudder area is located behind the rudder stock. The shape of the rudder blade is usually square or rectangular.

The marine unbalanced rudder has more rudder knob fulcrums, so that the rudder bar strength is easy to be guaranteed.

Overview

The center of water pressure of this kind of rudder is far away from the rotating shaft, and a large steering torque is required when turning the rudder, which is only suitable for small boats.
