Marine Electric Horizontal Capstan
A marine electric horizontal capstan is a relatively simple winch which is placed on cargo ships and passenger ships of various kinds as well as on the quay. It can be used for mooring, anchoring or sail handling. The steel wire ropes or cables are wound on the capstan head which is driven by the electric motor after reduced by high efficiency gearbox. The marine electric horizontal capstan is easy to be integrated in any ship design because of its small volume and compact structure.
Overview
The marine electric horizontal capstan is coated with high quality anti-corrosion paint and it’s constructed from cast steel or the stainless steel to withstand a corrosive aquatic environment. This ensures that our robust capstans are optimally protected against corrosion even under the most extreme conditions. It could be customized to be explosion-proof if it’s set on an oil tanker or other ships loaded with dangerous chemical substances.
