Marine Curtain

Marine Curtain

The curtains in ship cabins have the functions of interior decoration, shading, and sun protection. They play roles in enhancing the comfort of personnel, protecting privacy, ensuring safety, and strengthening the functionality and applicability of the ship.

Their performance complies with the standards of Part 7 of the IMO 2010 FTP Code/IMO Resolution MSC.307(88)-2010-12.

Overview

Design and Installation

Customization: Usually customized according to the hull structure, as well as the size and shape of the windows, ensuring a tight fit with the windows to achieve the best light-shielding, heat-insulating, and sound-insulating effects.

Adjustability: Given the shaking of the ship, the curtain tracks and the curtains themselves are generally designed to be adjustable, enabling them to adapt to different sailing conditions while maintaining stability and aesthetics. For example, retractable tracks or curtains with elastic connecting parts are used.

Stable Installation: The installation method needs to be flexible and stable to prevent the curtains from falling off or shifting during the ship's shaking. Common installation methods include track-mounted, rod-mounted, and adhesive-mounted. Track-mounted installation allows the curtains to slide smoothly, rod-mounted installation is relatively simple, and adhesive-mounted installation is suitable for some small windows or temporary use scenarios.

Fire Retardant

Polyester fibers are treated to deform, thus achieving permanent flame-retardant properties and preventing the spread of fire smoke.

Odor Removal

Special metal salts are implanted into the textiles to decompose odor molecules. These odors are broken down into carbon dioxide and water, achieving permanent odor decomposition.

Bacteria Elimination

The coating on the textile surface will attack bacteria or bacterial cells. The bacteria and cells are thus destroyed. If the textile comes into contact with the skin, it is harmless to health.

Noise Reduction

Noise is reduced through a special fabric structure, which weakens the propagation of sound.
