Maintenance and Repair of Marine Centrifugal Fan
After the air flow of marine centrifugal fan enters the fan impeller axially, it is compressed by centrifugal force and mainly flows along the radial direction.
Overview
1. Maintenance cycle and maintenance content
1) Maintenance cycle
The centrifugal fan is overhauled once every 24 ~ 36 months. According to the condition monitoring results and equipment operation conditions, the maintenance cycle can be adjusted appropriately.
2) Maintenance contents
(1) Check the inlet damper.
(2) Check the wear and tear of all parts.
(3) Check and measure the fit size and runout of each part of the spindle and rotor.
(4) Find the static balance of the impeller, and carry out dynamic balance test when necessary.
(5) Check the anchor bolts.
(6) Alignment of coupling.
(7) Clean and check the lubrication system.
Step 2. Repair
1) Preparation before disassembly
(1) Master the operation of the fan and prepare the necessary drawings.
(2) Prepare maintenance tools, measuring tools, cranes, accessories and materials.
(3) Cut off the power supply and water, and close the baffle at the inlet and outlet of the fan to meet the requirements for safe maintenance.
2) Disassembly and inspection
(1) Remove the coupling shield and check the alignment.
(2) Remove the coupling.
(3) Remove the bearing box gland and check the rotor channeling.
(4) Remove the casing.
(5) Clean and check the rotor.
(6) Clean and check the casing.
(7) Disassemble and inspect the bearing and clean the bearing box.
