Magnesium Alloy Anode
Magnesium alloy anode is a practical application of metal magnesium products, mainly used for cathodic protection of an anticorrosive material magnesium alloy products, widely used in ships, wharves, oil and gas pipelines, urban pipeline networks, such as underwater underground steel construction facilities and electrical appliances and other protection.
Overview
Product Overview
Hisea Marine's magnesium alloy anodes are premium sacrificial anode products, specifically engineered to provide robust cathodic protection for steel structures in environments where other anode materials are less effective. They are widely utilized in the corrosion protection of ships, docks, oil & gas pipelines, urban pipeline networks, and various submerged or buried steel installations and electrical equipment.
Performance Characteristics
(1) Small specific gravity and negative potential.
(2) High driving voltage to iron, low current efficiency.
(3) Especially suitable for high resistivity medium.
△For resistivities greater than 100 Ω-m, strip magnesium anodes are recommended.
Primary Applications & Scope
Hisea magnesium alloy anodes are suitable for anti-corrosion protection in a wide range of projects:
Pipeline Protection: Buried oil, gas, water supply, and drainage pipelines.
Infrastructure: Underground cables, communication facilities, harbor structures, and ship hulls (in brackish/freshwater).
Water & Civil Works: Reservoir gates, freshwater tanks, and related hydraulic steel structures.
Industrial: Various chemical plant structures requiring grounding or immersion protection in low-chloride environments.
