Insulated and non-insulated immersion suit

Insulated and non-insulated immersion suit

Immersion suit is a complete set including a hat, jacket, pants, boots, gloves, designed with specified insulation and buoyancy for life-saving purposes. It's divided into insulated immersion suit and non-insulated immersion suit.

Overview

Insulated immersion suit typically uses CR neoprene sponge or Polyester + TPU as the outer material, with a layer of PE polyethylene foam as the filling material inside, providing both buoyancy and insulation. When worn in still water with a temperature of 0-2℃ for 6 hours, it ensures that the wearer's body temperature does not drop by more than 2℃. Insulated immersion thermal protective clothing includes buoyant and non-buoyant versions, with the non-buoyant type requiring wearing in conjunction with a life jacket.

Non-insulated immersion thermal protective clothing usually uses Waterproof Terylene Oxford textile as the outer material and foamed polyethylene with an aluminum plate film as the inner material. When worn in still water at 5℃ for 1 hour, it ensures that the wearer's body temperature does not drop by more than 2℃. It also needs to be equipped with a life jacket.
