How To Differentiate Hose Clamps For Different Applications
Pipe clamp is a tool used for fixing pipes to ensure the stability and safety of the piping system. According to the scope of application, pipe clamps can be classified into three main categories: light series pipe clamps, duplex series pipe clamps, and heavy series pipe clamps, which can be selected according to the different needs of the appropriate pipe clamps.
Overview
Duplex Pipe Clamp
Duplex pipe clamp is a device consisting of two pipe clamps, mainly used to connect two pipes. Compared with single coupling pipe clamps, duplex pipe clamps have two clamping ports, which are needed to clamp two pipes at the same time, and are suitable for 5 size series of mechanical pressure pipes, with pipe OD 6-42mm.Common materials for duplex pipe clamps include carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron and copper. Duplex Pipe Clamps are widely used in the petroleum, chemical, livestock, locomotive, shipbuilding and other industries to secure and protect industrial piping systems and ensure piping stability and safety.
Lightweight Pipe Clamps
Lightweight pipe clamps are mainly used for pipelines with small diameters, with relatively simple structure, light weight, easy and convenient installation and maintenance. It is applied to common mechanical pressure pipes. The main materials include polypropylene, nylon, aluminum, PTFE, carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel and so on. Stainless steel: excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for a variety of harsh environments. Aluminum: lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and particularly suitable for applications where weight reduction is required. Plastic: lightweight, good insulation properties, suitable for the need for insulation or shockproof occasions. Composite materials: high strength, corrosion resistance, suitable for specific application scenarios. Lightweight pipe clamps have a smaller load capacity and are suitable for light load scenarios, such as household water pipes and automatic water dispensers.
Heavy Duty Pipe Clamps
Heavy Duty Pipe Clamps are a commonly used clamp for securing high mechanical pressure pipes in 8 size series. Heavy duty pipe clamps are generally available in diameters ranging from 50mm to 630mm for high mechanical pressure pipes and are commonly used in industrial production and piping systems to ensure the stability and safety of pipelines. Its main materials include: polypropylene working temperature from -30℃ to +90℃, nylon working temperature from -40℃ to +120℃, aluminum alloy working temperature from -80℃ to +300℃, stainless steel working temperature from -80℃ to +500℃ and so on, which are suitable for different working temperature and environmental requirements. Suitable for metallurgy, petroleum, chemical industry, vehicles, ships, electric power and other machinery hydraulic system in the oil, water, gas as the medium of the pipeline fixed.
