The G80 Eye Self-Locking Hook is a high-performance lifting component designed for use with EN818-2 Grade 80 chains. Forged from super alloy steel and precisely quenched and tempered, it offers exceptional strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance under demanding working conditions.

Key Features & Testing:

  • Self-Locking Mechanism: The positive lock latch automatically closes when the hook is loaded, significantly reducing the risk of accidental opening and enhancing operational safety.

  • Rigorous Quality Testing (per batch/individual):

    Individual proof test at 2.5 times the Working Load Limit (WLL).

    Fatigue test at 1.5 times WLL for 20,000 cycles (sampled).

    Breakage test performed on each batch (sampled).

         100% magnaflux crack detection – every hook is inspected for surface and subsurface defects.

  • Material & Heat Treatment: Forged super alloy steel, quenched and tempered for optimal hardness and ductility.

  • Surface Finish: Powder coated for excellent corrosion resistance, especially suited for marine and outdoor environments.

  • Compatibility: Fully compatible with EN818-2 Grade 80 chain systems.
