DN25 Air Water Separator
Overview
Air water separator type
1. Baffle type: Baffles or splint-plate separators are composed of many baffles, and the flow direction of fluid changes several times in the separator. Since suspended water droplets have large mass and inertia, when the flow direction of the baffle changes, dry steam can bypass the baffle and continue to move forward, while water droplets will accumulate on the baffle. The gas-water separator has a large flow area, which reduces the kinetic energy of water droplets, and most of them will condense. It finally falls to the bottom of the separator and is discharged through the trap.
2. Steam spin: A steam or centrifugal separator uses a series of fins to produce a high speed cyclone, which rotates steam flowing at high speed within the separator.
3. Adsorption type: There is a hindrance on the steam channel inside the adsorption type separator, generally a metal mesh pad, and the suspended water droplets are absorbed after encountering it, and the water droplets are large to a certain extent, and fall to the bottom of the separator due to the action of gravity. A combination of steam spin and adsorption separators is also common, and the overall separation efficiency is improved by combining these two methods.
4. Baffle type:Baffle type separator can maintain a high separation efficiency in a large flow rate range, while the separation efficiency of the steam spin and adsorption separator can only reach 98% under the steam speed of 13m/s, otherwise the efficiency will be very low, when the steam speed is 25m/s, the separation efficiency is only about 50%.
