Copper Gasket

Copper Gasket

Pure copper, also known as copper, density of 8.92g/cm3, melting point of 1083 degrees, non-magnetic, good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and pressure resistance, toughness.

Copper gasket belongs to a kind of metal clad gasket, with good corrosion resistance, wear resistance and compression resistance is more prominent.

Overview

Sealing Principle:

The sealing principle of copper sealing gasket is mainly through its elastic deformation to fill the gap between the connecting surfaces tightly to avoid medium leakage. Therefore, its sealing effect and gasket thickness, width, material hardness, the shape of the connecting surface and other factors are related.

The sealing effect of copper gaskets is affected by the thickness and width of the gasket. Usually, the greater the thickness of the gasket, the better the sealing effect; the greater the width of the gasket, the greater the pressure on the gasket, the better the sealing effect.

The harder the gasket material, the better the sealing effect. But too hard material is also easy to cause deformation of the connection surface, thus reducing the sealing effect.

The shape of the connecting surface also has a great influence on the sealing effect of the gasket. When installing the gasket, it must be ensured that the connecting surface is smooth and even, without burrs or bumps, otherwise it will affect the sealing effect of the gasket.
