Plug valve is a control valve used in fluid piping that changes the flow and pressure in the piping by rotating the spool. It has the advantages of simple structure and easy to use, and is widely used in industrial production and civil fields.

Opeartion Methods
Identify the direction of opening and closing of the valve. Clockwise rotation of the handwheel of manual valves usually indicates closing, counterclockwise rotation indicates opening, but need to check the opening and closing signs. The groove on the top surface of the stem of the plug valve indicates fully open when it is parallel to the channel, and fully closed when it is perpendicular, and some plug valves have the spanner parallel to the channel as open and perpendicular as closed. Before opening the steam valve need to preheat the pipeline and open it slowly to avoid water hammer phenomenon. Three-way and four-way valves should be operated according to the marking of opening and closing commutation.
