Bronze Y Strainer Threaded
Y strainers are a kind of filtering device for pipeline system of conveying medium. Y strainers are usually installed at the inlet end of pressure reducing valves, pressure relief valves or other equipments, which are used to remove impurities in the medium in order to protect valves and equipments for normal use.
The applicable media of Y-type strainer can be water, oil and gas. Generally, the water mesh is 18-30 mesh, the gas mesh is 10-100 mesh, and the oil mesh is 100-480 mesh.
Overview
Installation:
1. The Y-strainer can be installed horizontally or vertically, and the inlet and outlet directions should be consistent with the direction of the arrow on the valve body.
2. When installing steam or gas piping, the strainer faces horizontally; when installing liquid piping, the strainer faces down. In case of vertical installation, it is necessary to proceed according to the filter installation pointing.
3. The connection of drain valve is divided into flange and screw, the drain pipe should not be too long, generally please do not exceed 10 meters.
