Bottom Plug


A bottom plug is a device installed on the bottom of a ship to drain water and seal it. Ship bottom plugs are usually made of corrosion-resistant materials, such as copper, stainless steel, etc. In order to facilitate the removal of water in the dock repair, at least one bottom plug is usually installed in each water tank of the double bilge, the final peak and other water tanks close to the ship bottom.
