It has a large strength and can withstand the large tension and impact force transmitted by the anchor and the anchor chain.

Swivel (including swivel shackle): Mainly set at the end of the anchor chain (usually the anchor end chain link). When the ship rotates due to wind and waves or the anchor chain has a tendency to rotate due to factors such as water flow, the swivel allows the anchor chain to rotate at a certain angle relative to the hull or anchor without causing the anchor chain to be excessively twisted, entangled, damaged or even broken. The swivel shackle not only plays a connecting role but also realizes the swivel function, reducing the complexity of installing the swivel and shackle separately.
