Which cabins need sounding tubes?
According to the requirements of the code, the sounding device shall be installed in the tank and all non-accessible compartments. For example, all oil and water tanks, isolation empty tanks, pipe tunnels and sewage wells that are not easily accessible should be provided with sounding pipes. Get the sounding tube as close to the suction as possible. For drinking water tanks, some shipowners do not set sounding pipes for health requirements, but are equipped with other measuring devices. If a blowing measuring device is used, a pressure converter is used to prevent compressed air from coming into direct contact with drinking water.
