Diesel engine drives the reduction gearbox, and then it drives the transmission gear and sprocket shaft so that the engine can give power to lift and lower anchors. Some international diesel engine brands like Deutz, Weichai, Yanmar, Cummins or Yuchai are usually chosen. The diesel engine is more compact, smaller and cost-effective.
Overview
The diesel engine single gypsy anchor windlass is applied to anchor’s retrieval and deployment. Sometimes, to achieve a multiple purpose, the anchor windlass can be fitted with drum for mooring if clients need. This windlass is equipped with only one single gypsy. It can be operated smoothly and safely. The diesel anchor windlass should also be equipped with an overload protection device. It is installed on the sprocket shaft.
