Double Bitt Bollard

Double Bitt Bollard

Double Bitt Bollard is a type of mooring bollard used primarily for mooring and towing to secure a vessel to a pier. This type of bollard has two parallel posts that provide enhanced security and stability when mooring a vessel.Typically made from robust materials such as Steel plates and steel pipes to withstand the heavy loads and harsh marine environment. They are then fixed to the ship by welding for maximum stability.

Overview

There are many standards in Double Bitt Bollard. Here I will introduce the GB standard bollard:

GBT 554-1996 Double Bollard

GBT 554-1996 Double Bollards are sturdy, short, vertical posts typically used on docks and quays for mooring ships. Double bollards have two protruding arms or posts, providing more secure mooring options for larger vessels. This standard likely specifies dimensions, materials, and other technical requirements for the design and installation of marine double bollards in China.

GB/T 554-2008 Double Bollard

GB/T 554-2008 Double Bollards are common fixtures on docks used as mooring points for boats. They are usually made of we can discuss it. The outer diameter tolerance of the cable pile is about ±1%, the steel pipe thickness tolerance is ±15%, the steel plate thickness tolerance is ±15%, and the appearance should not have pores and other defects.

GB/T 554-2023 Double Bollard

GB/T 554-2023 Double Bollards are usually used for mooring ships in ocean and port facilities. The SWL or TOW mark of our bollard will be clearly marked on the bollard, in KN or T as the unit.
