Marine Storm Valve

Marine storm valve is an outboard valve used for discharging sewage or wastewater and can automatically shut off and prevent outboard water from backing up. Its main function is to prevent seawater from entering the cabin from the side of the ship and keep the cabin dry. The storm valve is usually installed in the porthole or other openings of the ship, when the waves hit the hull of the ship, the storm valve will automatically close to prevent seawater from entering the cabin.

The principle of Marine storm valve is actually one-way check, generally with a spring tongue plate, in normal times in the closed, forward fluid can open the tongue plate. Open the valve, the reverse fluid will not open the tongue plate. Due to the limitations of the valve seat, so there are also requirements in the installation, first of all, can not be installed reverse, secondly, such as the design of vertical installation can not be installed horizontally. Otherwise, it will be affected by the weight of the inner tongue disc and the opening is inconvenient or the closing is lax.
