
Launching And Recovery Procedure for Rescue Boat
Please read the instruction carefully before operating the off-load release hook.
Caution!
It is very dangerous to release the hook too early and injury or death may be caused.
Overview
Launching The Boat
1. Secured one end of painter to painter release hook and the other end to the vessel deck. Ensure that the securing point on vessel deck is located well ahead of the boat. Painter with sufficient length should be used. Painter should be in taut condition when the boat is fully waterborne.
Caution:
Always keep painter secured when vessel is moving ahead, it may cause injury to passenger or damage to equipment if the painter is not secured. Do not release painter until the boat is unhook from fall wire rope.
2. Launching the boat with its crews until boat is fully waterborne, together with a slack fall wire.
3.Start the engine.
4. Remove the safety pin, then release the hook by pulling the release rope. Please be noted it is4impossible to release the hook if there is any tension on the lifting wire.
5. After the lifting wire disconnected with the release hook, release the painter by pulling sharply on the painter release handle mounted on the forward spray hood.
6. Steer the rescue boat to go for helpless people.
Recovery the boat
1. Make sure to insert the safety pin into the release hook.
2. Manoeuvre the boat toward the loose painter end hanging from the ship. Attach the painter to the painter release hook, let the boat drift slowly until the painter is taut. The rescue craft should now be situated directly under the davit or lifting crane.
Caution:
The painter is not fasten and secured to the boat before the fall wire, while the ship is making headway. It may cause injury to the passenger or damage to equipment.
3. Make sure the hook is in closed position.
4. Stop the engine.
5. Hoisting the boat clear of water. Check the lifting hook to make sure it is fully locked and that the safety pin is in place.
6. Hoist boat aboard and secure it on the cradle, connect the external power supply and refill oil,fuel,lubrication if necessary.
