YA Type Deck Drain
Overview
Types and functions of drainage holes
1. Water drop holes: These holes are located on the deck and are used to discharge the sewage on the deck, including the sewage generated by surges and daily cleaning.
2. High, low and emergency seawater tanks: These holes are used for filling and discharging ballast water channels, and can also be used as a way of drainage after the tank is broken. The filling of ballast water helps to maintain the balance of the hull, while the discharge of ballast water when needed helps to improve the buoyancy of the ship.
3. Chain flushing: These holes are located in the bow anchor lip and are used to discharge the water produced when the chain is flushed.
4. Domestic sewage discharge hole: usually located behind the sea water tank of the ship, for the discharge of domestic sewage. In order to prevent sewage from being sucked into the ballast tank, these holes are usually located away from the ballast water filling point.
