What is Mud Box?

Mud Boxes are the Pipeline device which are installed in suction pipes aboard vessels to protect pumps against large solids. They are available in Straight pattern and Angle pattern with various material of Construction in Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, Carbon Steel, Bronze.

Overview

Type of Marine mud box:

Type A - Straight through mud box with flange connection size according to CB/T46;

AS type - straight through mud box with flange connection size according to GB2506;

Type B - right-angle mud box with flange connection size according to CB/T46;

BS type - right-angle mud box with flange connection size according to GB2506.

The structure of the mud box

The structure of the mud box includes the box, the box cover connected with the box and the filter, the filter is tilted in the box, the top surface of the box has a ring groove, the ring groove is placed in the liner, the box cover is set on the beam, the two ends of the beam are fixed and connected with the box with the bolt, the bottom surface of the box cover has a ring groove matched with the liner, the box cover is sealed with the liner.
