What is Marine Fire Hydrant Valve?
Overview
Working Principle
Fire hydrant valves basically work by rotating the spool to control the opening and closing of the water flow. When water is needed to extinguish a fire, the spool is rotated to open the valve by means of a handwheel, handle, or other operating device, thus allowing water to flow through. In an emergency, the rapid opening of a hydrant valve can quickly provide water to extinguish a fire.
Main Structure
Fire hydrant valve is mainly composed of valve body, valve disc, handwheel, valve stem, valve seat, seal-capping and other components; The seal-capping is used to protect and seal parts of the spool and other critical components to prevent dust, moisture, and other contaminants from entering the body and thus maintaining the normal operating condition of the valve.
