What are the types of sealing forms of butterfly valves?
Butterfly valve can be divided into three types according to the structure and sealing method: centerline butterfly valve, double eccentric butterfly valve and triple eccentric butterfly valve. Centerline butterfly valve has a simple structure and is commonly used in the control of medium and low pressure, low temperature media; double eccentric butterfly valve has advantages in the control of medium and high pressure, high temperature media; and triple eccentric butterfly valve is more suitable for high temperature and high pressure, corrosive media control, and its sealing performance is more reliable.

Rubber seal is one of the most commonly used sealing methods for butterfly valves, which is characterized by good sealing, low price, and suitable for most media. Commonly used rubber materials include nitrile rubber, neoprene rubber, silicone rubber, fluorine rubber and so on.
Polytetrafluoroethylene seals, also known as PTFE seals, are corrosion-resistant, high-temperature-resistant, non-adhesive, etc. They are suitable for acid and alkali media, high-temperature steam and other occasions. However, its price is high and it is susceptible to force wear and expansion.
Metal seals are divided into two types: soft seals and metal seals. Soft seal is the use of metal and some soft non-metallic materials between the elastic deformation, the disadvantage is the coefficient of thermal expansion, easy to aging. Metal seal is the use of metal materials between the plug pressure deformation and realize a way of sealing, the advantages are reliable sealing, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, suitable for high temperature and pressure, large diameter occasions.
