What Are The Two Different Shackle Pins?
All types of shackles come with either a screw pin or a bolt-type pin. Pins provide a secure connection between the load and the shackle body.
Overview
1. Bolt-Type/Safety Pin
Bolt-pin shackles are equipped with a split pin that secures a nut and bolt. They are suitable for semi-permanent connection and lifting applications. It is also better to use these for industrial lifting requiring load movement.
2. Screw Pin/Pin Type Shackles
It usually consist of a bolt or cotter pin. It includes a single ear threaded to accept a matching screw pin for a closed connection. The pin can be easily screwed into the ear of the shackle body, making them well-suited for industrial applications that require rapid assembly and disassembly.
