Marine Hydraulic Vertical Capstan
The marine hydraulic vertical capstan is driven by a hydraulic unit which starts with a hydraulic pump that generates hydraulic oil. The hydraulic oil flows through pipes to the hydraulic motor connected to the capstan drum. The hydraulic motor converts the fluid pressure into mechanical rotational energy, causing the capstan head to rotate and work to moor or tow. Operators use control system to adjust the speed and direction of the drum's rotation. This allows for precise control over the handling of cables or chains. A hydraulic system is able to fitted with a manual proportional valve for step-less speed.
Overview
The marine hydraulic vertical capstan is equipped with braking systems to hold the load securely in place when needed. The brake can be manually or hydraulically operated. The hydraulic system allows the capstan to operate steadily and safely even at low speeds, an it can generate a stronger pull force to manipulate the target.
