Overview
The pile ship is a boat specially designed for underwater piling work on piers, embankments and bridges. The pile frame is erected at the end of the first deck or on the side, with fixed, rotary, or mobile types. The rotary type can play group piles, and the inclined type can play inclined piles. The pile hammer can be driven by gravity, steam engine, diesel engine, pneumatic, electric, hydraulic or other types. The ship is positioned by winch and anchor during operation. The load at the head increases when the pile is driven. In order to avoid the head tilt, a large ballast tank is installed at the stern part. The hull is steel box shaped with multiple ballast water tanks to ensure good stability when driving piles. At the end or side of the main deck, there are 10 ~ 80m high pile drivers. The pile driver is composed of pile frame and pile hammer.
