Marine Electric Vertical Mooring Capstan
A marine electric vertical mooring capstan is a a small or medium-sized, light and excellent deck machinery designed for mooring on ships or offshore platforms. It is driven by a electric motor, which including the fixed frequency motor and a varied frequency motor, in which the varied frequency motor can achieve single speed, double speed and three speed. An electric capstan has several advantages, including increased speed, high efficiency, easy operation and environmentally friendly characteristic.
Overview
The marine electric vertical mooring capstan must be equipped with an automatic control brake device, which shall automatically brake when the operating handle or hand wheel is not in operation, and this automatic device must be able to withstand 1.5 times the mooring load. The mooring speed of capstan should be able to adjust flexibly and quickly to cater for different ships and various marine conditions.
