Marine Diesel Mooring Winch
The diesel mooring winch usually located on deck to provide end support for the mooring while facilitating its operation and orientation. The diesel engine controls the tension and extension of the mooring cable, ensuring that the ship remains stable during loading, unloading, passenger transfer and maintenance operations to resist tidal currents, waves and wind.
Overview
The diesel winch is powered by a reliable diesel engine, which is convenient for a ship where the electricity is insufficient. Its robust construction ensures resilience in harsh conditions, withstanding factors such as dust, moisture and temperature changes. Some diesel engines should be equipped with overspeed protection device to prevent the diesel engine from exceeding the speed of the rated speed. Each mooring winch shall be equipped with a brake setting, and if there are more than one drum, each drum shall be equipped with a brake device and the brake should be able to withstand the corresponding supporting load.
