Marine Anchor Mooring Capstan
A marine anchor mooring capstan can be above deck-mounted or through deck-mounted, and used for marine operations. It has the same functions as anchor windlass but in vertical, and more compact in construction. This capstan can be used both for anchoring and mooring.
Overview
The marine anchor mooring capstan is only equipped with one drum to work during operations to wind the mooring chains but not hold and store the chains on the drum. By rotating, the capstan drum controls the length and speed of lines attached to the gypsy wheel or drum to realize its mooring and anchoring functions.
