Joining Shackle

Joining Shackle

Joining shackl is commonly used to connect lengths of anchor chain together. When joining anchor chain with a shackle, it's important to ensure the connection is strong and secure, as it's a critical component of the anchoring system.

Overview

Describe:

The side of the pin connecting the shackle is generally drop-shaped, and its size is smaller than that of the End shackle. The shackle should be of the appropriate size and material for the anchor chain being used. Open the shackle by unscrewing the pin or removing the bolt, depending on the type of shackle being used. Insert one end of the anchor chain into one side of the shackle's eye, then insert the other end of the chain into the opposite side of the shackle's eye.Screw the pin back into place or re-insert the bolt through the shackle's eye. Ensure that it's tightened securely to prevent any movement or loosening during use.
