Overview
Functions
In case of failure of fire pump, emergency fire pump or damage of fire pipe caused by fire during the berrying period of the ship, under the condition that fire water cannot be used on board and the displacement is insufficient, the international shore connection equipped between the ship and the shore shall be used.
On the one hand, it can solve the mismatch problem of different types and sizes of fire hoses and fire hydrants between ship and shore. It can directly provide fire water to fire pipes on board by using fire water on shore.
On the other hand, using the fire hose system, fire hydrant and water gun on board after connection can overcome the bending and leakage of water belt that may occur in the laying of long distance fire hose. In addition, in the event of a fire at sea, the international shore connection can also be used to connect the fire water of the rescue ship.
