Incinerator

Incinerator

Incinerator, as a device specifically designed for waste treatment, plays a significant role in handling solid and liquid waste.

For ships and offshore facilities, incinerators are of great significance. On ships, the space is limited and the conditions for waste storage and treatment are relatively restricted. If solid or liquid waste is directly discharged into the sea, it will cause great pollution and face severe penalties and fines. The marine incinerator can quickly and effectively reduce the volume and weight of waste, avoid the hygiene and safety problems caused by long-term waste storage, and convert the waste into non-polluting inorganic substances, enabling it to meet environmental protection emission standards.

In offshore facilities, such as oil drilling platforms, incinerators can handle various domestic garbage, waste materials and pollutants generated during the working process, reducing the potential threat to the marine environment.

Meanwhile, incinerators also have wide applications on land. For example, for specific solid and liquid waste generated during some industrial production processes, treatment through incinerators can meet environmental protection emission standards and reduce pollution to soil and water sources.

In conclusion, the incinerator is an efficient and practical waste treatment equipment, making significant contributions to environmental protection and resource utilization, whether at sea or on land. Criteria for selection of properly sized incinerator and sludge tank:

• Sludge tank capacity: 2%/0.5% of the ship's HFO (Heavy Fuel Oil)/MGO (Marine Gas Oil) consumption per 24 hours

• Incinerator capacity: The sludge capacity is sufficient to burn 1%/0.25% of the ship's HFO/MGO consumption per 24 hours during 8 - 12 hours of operation per day

• Solid waste generation: 2 kilograms per person per day (range 1 - 2.5 kilograms)
