How to choose the appropriate pressure reducing valve?
Overview
Function:
Pressure reducing valve is through the adjustment, the inlet pressure will be reduced to a certain need for the outlet pressure, and rely on the medium's own energy, so that the outlet pressure automatically maintain a stable valve. When selecting a pressure reducing valve, the first thing to consider is the pressure and flow. Pressure reducing valve specifications should be based on the use of the environment to determine the maximum pressure and flow.
Application:
Valve types for pressure reducing valves can be categorized as spring-loaded, diaphragm-type and piston type.
Spring-loaded pressure reducing valves are suitable for water systems with steady flow and frequent operation;
Diaphragm type pressure reducing valve is suitable for larger flow, and less frequent operation of the water system. Medium for water or air and other normal temperature media, can choose direct-acting diaphragm pressure reducing valve and pilot operated diaphragm pressure reducing valve, rubber diaphragm temperature resistance is generally ≤ 80 ℃, can meet the use of requirements.
Medium for steam, you can choose the pilot-operated piston pressure reducing valve and bellows pressure reducing valve, both valves are resistant to high-temperature media, but the bellows pressure reducing valve is generally used in low-pressure steam, pilot-operated piston pressure reducing valve can be used in high-pressure steam.
