DN15 Air Water Separator
Overview
The role of the air water separator
The air water separator can reduce the harm caused by wet steam. The small water droplets contained in the steam will focus on the heat exchange surface to grow into a water film. The water film will change the heat transfer coefficient of the heat exchange surface, prolong the heating time, and reduce the productivity. The mixture carried in the wet steam accumulates on the control valve and steam trap, which will affect the operation of the valve and increase the maintenance cost. Wet steam reduces the overall heat exchange efficiency of gas equipment. Water droplets occupying precious steam space means that dry saturated steam will not be able to take advantage of heat transfer.
