Crude Oil Flow Meter

Crude oil flowmeter is a volumetric flowmeter to measure the sum of the liquid flow through the pipeline. It utilizes a mechanical measuring element to continuously divide the fluid into individual known volume sections, and measures the total volume of flow based on the number of times the chamber is filled and discharged with that volume section, one at a time, repetitively. Crude oil flow meters can be manufactured in different materials (cast steel, stainless steel and 316). Crude oil flowmeter with high measurement accuracy, by the viscosity of the liquid has little effect, the table does not need to install a straight section, widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, medicine and health and other oil and high-viscosity media cumulative flow measurement.

Installation:

Crude oil flowmeter instrumentation should be installed so that the direction of the arrow shown on the instrument case and the direction of liquid flow consistent with the installation location should be noted to facilitate reading.

Crude oil flowmeter instrumentation should be installed at room temperature as far as possible, do not install in harmful gases and strong heat radiation, to prevent damage to the meter part of the instrument.

Crude oil flowmeter instrumentation before installation, the pipeline must be thoroughly cleaned, in the entire piping system, if there is no strict filtering device, should be installed in front of the instrument filter, in order to prevent impurities into the table.

Crude oil flowmeter meter should be installed at the outlet end of the pump, and the flow control valve should be installed at the downstream of the meter. When in use, first open the upstream stop valve, and then slowly open the downstream flow control valve or stop valve. Sudden opening or closing is strictly prohibited.

Crude oil flow meter instrument in use, should make the meter flow full of liquid. The measured liquid should not be mixed with gas, otherwise the mixed volume of gas and liquid measured so that the measurement is not allowed, mixed gas in the liquid must be installed in front of the meter gas separator.
