Requirements for air pipe on deck

In addition to the requirements of the air pipe closing device, the air pipe above the freeboard deck and the superstructure deck should also meet certain height requirements. The height of the air pipe on the freeboard deck is at least 760mm, and the height of the superstructure deck is required to be at least 450mm. If the air pipe closing device is not limited in height, it is required to have a weathertight closing device on the pipe mouth. A pressure/vacuum valve (PV valve) installed in a vent line installed on a liquid cargo ship also acts as an automatic closing device for the air line. In addition, in order to ensure the ventilation effect, the cross-sectional area of the air tube should not be less than 1.25 times the cross-sectional area of the power injection tube.
